Urban Jungle Bloggers February 2016 // Jungle Animals

I only have a poor lonely flamingo to put in my jungle (I really wish I had a roaring tiger cat!), but I do like how my new painted plant pallet makes my studio feel a bit like a plant shop :) My opuntia is also totally ready for easter!

The Urban Jungle Bloggers challenge in November was to style a plant shelfie!
What a great theme! One of the first things on my wishlist when I moved in to my studio this spring was a smaller shelf above my desk where I could group together my smallest plants and put my holy golden plneapple on display. I recently had a makeover of the cacti pots, and sprayed them in fluorescent colours to brighten up in the darkness. And to brighten up even more I got the lovely marquee light from Hema, it’s like a graphic christmas tree!

Plant Gang for Urban Jungle Bloggers!

This month’s challenge from Urban Jungle Bloggers was to show all your plants.

We recently moved to a new apartment which gave us the opportunity to almost double the collection, and here it is! The oldest one is the big Dracaena that I bought when I moved to Utrecht for the first time in 2013, since then it has survived moving between 4 apartments! My current favourites are the Areca palm and the majestic tropical Strelitzia. In the future I would like to get a super big cactus!
